CONFORMACIÓN
Tranvía Cero está conformado por artistas plásticos egresados de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Central del Ecuador, Instituto de artes visuales de Quito, autodidactas y gestores culturales. A partir de su actividad en el Sur de Quito fomentan espacios independientes para la producción y difusión del arte. El trabajo de este equipo de artistas plásticos sobre la base de la pintura, escultura, grabado, instalaciones y performance se ha destacado en diferentes exposiciones y participaciones en el ámbito nacional e internacional
La conformación de este colectivo se inicia en el 2002 con Pablo Almeida, Carla Villavicencio del Taller de arte la Mancha y Samuel Tituaña de Akaros taller de arte, creando lazos con el movimiento cultural del sector y otras organizaciones (Al Sur del Cielo, Centro Cultural del Sur, Teatro de la Guaba).
Con su gestión cultural y artística realizan el Primer Encuentro Internacional de Artes Plásticas Al Sur 2002. Posteriormente crean el Primer Encuentro de Arte Urbano al zur-ich 2003 y en el 2004 el Segundo Encuentro, al que se suma Pablo Ayala, Luis Herrera y Nelson Ullauri con los que se conforma Tranvía cero.
Con Ernesto Proaño, Sofía Soto y Omar Puebla integrados para al zur-ich 3 Encuentro de Arte Urbano 2005 queda conformado definitivamente el colectivo.
